Culinary Carnival Treats, Rodeo Austin – Austin, Texas

I was waiting for the colors to pop as the evening rolled in. With the sun low on the horizon, there were no shadows or hotspots to detract from the details. Of course, I was waiting for blue hour for the most dramatic view; however, the late afternoon light levels have their own kind of attraction.

While I’ve gone to Rodeo Austin multiple times, I’m not a good customer. I never went on any rides or bought their “wonderful” carnival food. They charged $20 for parking and $10 for entry, so I’m sure they were adequately compensated. These treats look innocent enough. I wonder if they had any heart-stopping deep-fried Twinkies?

As you might have guessed, it’s the photography that interests me, not the carnival rides, games, or food.
