Survivor at Paramount+, SXSW 2024 – Austin, Texas
Continuing with the sets at the Paramount+ venue at SXSW 2024, we have Survivor. I heard of this TV show but have never watched it. I was surprised that it was still going on. A little internet research revealed that they are now in the 46th season, though the US version premiered in 2000. My fancy math skills indicate that they have an average of two seasons per year.
Paramount+ had a more elaborate setup with two stations for taking pictures. Located next to each other, one station had a jungle-like theme, while the other had an alpine scene. I suppose they are meant to be exotic locales, which would be challenging.
The backdrop of the alpine scene looks suspiciously like the mountain on the Paramount logo, which is a fun, subtle way to include their branding. I wonder how many people realize this?
